Artist Alley FAQs

HOW BIG IS THE TABLE? AND WHAT DOES IT COME WITH?

Approximately 1.2m wide, the table comes covered with a cloth and will have one chair provided with it.

WHAT KIND OF STRUCTURE IS THE BACK WALL? IS IT SOMETHING THAT I CAN HANG MY ARTWORK ON?

It will be a wooden wall that is approx. 2.0m in height where you can stick your artwork on or use tacks to display your work.

IS THERE POWER AVAILABLE?

Yes for an extra supplement you can add a domestic 16 amp power socket to your table.

HOW MANY EXHIBITOR PASSES COME WITH AN ARTIST ALLEY TABLE BOOKING?

One 3 day exhibitor badges comes with an artist alley table. You can add an additional 3 maximum exhibitor badges,  these are priced 120 AED per badge that last the full 3 days of the event. You can purchase these on Thursday 25th October morning when you come to set up your table area.

WHAT KIND OF LICENSING DO I NEED TO SELL MY ART?

None, this is original fan art so no license is needed, It is not permitted to sell non-original and mass produced items to resell. For this you require a small booth.

I HAVE A FRIEND WHO MIGHT ALSO DISPLAY HIS WORK WITH MINE. IS THIS OKAY?

Yes but if it becomes overcrowded, your friend might need to buy a table of his/her own.

WHERE DO I COLLECT MY BADGES FROM?

There will be a designated exhibitor badge collection point at the convention, set up days prior to the event or during the Con days itself. Badges will Not be releaased unless the full balance of the invoice is cleared.

WHY HAS MY REQUEST FOR A TABLE BEEN DECLINED?

Tables are reserved for creators of original art that represent a variety of topics/sectors aligned with the show. If there are already similar artists confirmed, or your table is to sell products that have not been hand crafted, your table request will be declined or added to a reserve list. Informa do not tolerate abusive language or behavior. If you do not respect the Informa Team and the event, you will not be permitted to participate. This includes bad-mouthing the event, other artist alley participants and/or the Informa team/event staff on social media, through email or in person.

I WON'T ARRIVE ON TIME ON THE FIRST DAY OF THE EVENT. WHAT SHOULD I DO?

The arrival time for set-up for the event is compulsary. If your table is not set-up at least 1 hour before the show opens, your table will be removed and you will not be permitted to paricipate in the show. No-shows and late-arrivals will not be applicable for a refund.

WHY HAS ANOTHER ARTIST BEEN PROMOTED ON INSTAGRAM AND NOT ME? HOW BIG IS THE TABLE? WHAT MARKETING AM I ENTITLED TO?

With your table, you will also receive an access to the website exhibitor directory. You can access this through the exhibitor manual, and you are responsible for updating the content yourself. No other marketing is included or guaranteed, and any additional promotions will be done at the sole discretion of the marketing team. If you have original pieces, high-value pieces, exclusive/unique art and/or an interesting PR story, share it with with the marketing team so that they consider your work for additional promotion.

I CAN'T PAY FOR THE TABLE BY THE DEADLINE. WHAT CAN I DO?

WHERE DO I PARK WHEN I ARRIVE?

Parking lies within the ADNEC centre, and there will be sufficient parking available on an hourly paid basis.

WHERE IS MY TABLE? CAN I MOVE MY TABLE CLOSER TO MY FRIEND'S? WHAT IS MY TABLE NUMBER?

This won't be possible through the event organiser, Informa. This can only be done on mutual agreement on site with the artist you want to swap with. Your table will be allocated to you closer to the event date, and you will find your table number in your invoice. You will also find your table number and name sign on the wall in the artist alley when you arrive.

I WANT TO CANCEL MY TABLE BOOKING.

If a written booking form has been accepted and payment was made, then there is no refund. If there is outstanding balance/no payment, you will be required to pre-pay for your space if you participate in any future exhibitions organized by Informa.

WHERE SHOULD I REDIRECT ALL MY OTHER GENERAL INQUIRIES REGARDING GAMES CON?
